OUR STORY

Who We Are and Our Purpose:
The Smyrna Elementary School Foundation is a charitable nonprofit organization whose mission is dedicated to providing resources beyond what is provided by the Cobb County School District and PTA to support and enhance a quality educational experience for every Smyrna Elementary student. 

​What We Have Accomplished:

• A large multi-pod learning garden

• A two year campaign for 50 iPads to be used by all students, and items to enhance our STEM Lab 

• Math and Reading Enrichment Campaign providing additional hands on materials and books

• Sunshade for our front playground, and installation of artificial turf in our rear playground

• Annual mini-grants that teachers and staff can apply for to enhance their learning environments

 

This Year’s Goals:

• Ensuring students have state-of-the-art science, technology and math educational opportunities

• Replacing loss of Title 1 Funds ($350,000)

• Continued resources for Social and Emotional Learning

• Teacher Mini-Grants

• Maintain Past Campaigns
